Terms of Service

Last updated: 2026-10-20 · Operator: MapBin.app · Contact: support@mapbin.app

These terms govern your use of MapBin at https://mapbin.app, operated by MapBin.app. Using the service means you accept them.

Read section 4 before you flash anything. This software modifies engine control unit calibrations. A modified ECU can damage an engine, make a vehicle unsafe, void your warranty, and make the vehicle illegal to drive on public roads. You carry that risk, not us.

1. What the service does

MapBin reads ECU calibration files, shows the maps inside them, and applies modifications you select. Some modifications are free; others are paid, either per use or from a credit balance. Files are processed on our servers and stored in your account if you save them.

We may change, add or withdraw features. If we withdraw something you have paid for and not yet used, contact us and we will refund it.

2. Your account

3. Acceptable use

Do not:

Breaking these rules can get your account suspended or closed, and paid balances are not refunded where the closure follows a serious breach.

4. Vehicle modification — risk, warranty and legality

This is the part that matters most, so it is in plain words.

Output is provided for you to evaluate and test. It is not certified, homologated or approved for any particular vehicle or purpose.

5. Payments

6. Your files and your rights in them

You keep ownership of the files you upload. You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store, process and modify your files so we can show and patch them, and to keep the versions you save. We do not use your files to build or improve products for other customers beyond anonymous ECU coverage counts, described in the Privacy Policy.

The tuning engine, its definitions, the interface and the site content remain ours.

7. Availability

We aim to keep the service up but do not guarantee it. It may be unavailable for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. Keep your own backups of files that matter to you — an account is not a backup service.

8. No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and that results will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, MapBin.app is not liable for damage to vehicles, engines, ECUs or other property, for loss of data, profit, time or business, for personal injury arising from the use of modified calibrations, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded — and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.

10. Indemnity

If someone brings a claim against us because of how you used the service — including a vehicle you modified or a file you uploaded — you agree to cover our reasonable costs in dealing with it.

11. Suspension and termination

You may close your account at any time by writing to support@mapbin.app. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, that is used unlawfully, or where we are required to. We will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes, and material changes are announced to account holders by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept it; if you do not, close your account.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of , and its courts have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live.
